David West
David West joined Zoetic as an ambassador and brand developer for strategic outreach and brand development. West shares the vision of Zoetic by recognizing the immediate need for clean energy, and is dedicated to promoting clean technology solutions, particularly for the developing areas of the world. Under the Obama Administration, West was appointed as an Ambassador for the Minorities in Energy Initiative, a group of senior-level leaders committed to lending their voice to the mission of Minorities in Energy through outreach and strategic planning.
West, a two time NBA All Star with a career spanning 13 years is currently a member of the Golden State Warriors. His time as a professional athlete has enabled him to be a leader on issues such as youth development and sustainable resource development. West is the principal and head of the West Group, an organization that facilitates the development of youth in sports and individually tailored mentorship. Under the direction of the West Group, David operates a nationally recognized basketball development program for youth that carries the mantra “No Books, No Ball.” Through David’s philanthropic service in the greater Raleigh/Durham North Carolina area, over 7,000 individuals have been serviced with more than 400 youth receiving collegiate scholarships.
A former basketball great at Xavier University, West was a 2002-03 Associated Press, United States Basketball Writers Association and Basketball Times National Player of the Year.
