Local Law 97 (LL97) plays a pivotal role in the city’s initiative to combat emissions and achieve a carbon-neutral New York City by 2050. Starting from 2025, LL97 will impose fines annually on buildings exceeding 25,000 gross square feet that surpass specific emissions thresholds.
