Jerome Ringo is the founder and chairman of Zoetic Energy, a leading edge renewable energy developer. Zoetic is the culmination of Mr. Ringo’s life’s long work to promote sustainable development through the use of clean technology solution. He is an internationally recognized thought leader on global environmental issues and has led two of the largest environmental organizations in the world, the 6 million member National Wildlife Federation and the Apollo Alliance, which was a 19 million member organization during his tenure.
After years of advocacy work, Mr. Ringo saw the stark need for direct involvement. The needs in the developing world were so pressing, that he formed Zoetic to directly tackle issues such as energy security. Today, Mr. Ringo draws on an international network to bring best-in-class technology solutions to leaders in the developing world. He has formed a diverse team with broad experience in renewable energy solutions as well as development work in Africa, India, Asia and Latin America.
Under his leadership, Zoetic has secured a 100 MW Power Purchase Agreement with the Electricity Company of Ghana in January of 2016. In addition, he has met with leaders and ministers throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America to promote Zoetic’s unique hydrokinetic technology.
As climate change has moved to the forefront in development discussions after COP 21, Mr. Ringo offers a unique perspective based on his years in the oil and gas industry, environmental advocacy and now renewable energy development.
In addition, Mr. Ringo was featured in Vice President Al Gore’s Academy Award-winning Documentary, An Inconvenient Truth and has co-authored two books: Diversity and the Future of the U.S. Environmental Movement (published 2007) and The Green Festival Reader (published 2008).
As co-founder of Zoetic Energy, Avery Hong is the driving force in the company’s product development, strategic planning and operations, and spearheads Zoetic’s African power initiatives with a strong vision and a deep knowledge of international project development and Power Purchase Agreements. Hong’s experience in project finance and technology development in biofuels, waste-to-energy and hydro power keeps Zoetic’s renewable energy focus on a clear path to sustainable development. He has led and consulted for energy and life science companies in Asia, Latin America, and Africa and previously worked for Morgan Stanley and consulted for Camryn Innovation. Accordingly, he is leading Zoetic’s expansion into new markets in Europe, South East Asia and Latin America to provide lasting improvement in these countries and to create value for Zoetic, it’s partners and stakeholders.
Charlene Gruhn serves as the chief product officer for Zoetic. She brings more than 20 years experience in international business operations and leading large teams delivering solutions for Fortune 500 clients including Google, Citibank, and General Motors. International client-focused technology solutions are a trademark of her career making her the ideal candidate to lead Zoetic’s operational delivery of clean technology solutions around the globe.
Gruhn is an inspiring leader and consummate team player with a track record of fueling the growth of international businesses. As managing partner and executive vice president of global delivery operations for avVenta Worldwide, she grew a small digital business team of two to 600 employees and $38 million in annual revenue in just seven years, ultimately leading the company to be acquired by Accenture in 2011.
Ms. Gruhn’s experience, skill set and personal qualities are apparent at Zoetic, enabling the company to do work that makes a difference in the world and to partners and stakeholders alike.
Chun Pong Ng is the brilliant mind behind Zoetic’s engineering strength, responsible for designing product and project implementations for our power initiatives around the world. Chun’s deep experience in engineering, construction, and implementation of green technology for commercial applications enables Zoetic to continually challenge the impossible to provide practical energy solutions. He is a creative thinker and has worked on clean and renewable energy, water reclamation and waste to energy projects since 1979. He has been the Program Manager for an award winning energy-improvement project that achieved over 50% annual energy savings and a 3-year payback. A sought-after architect and designer, his custom-designed homes have fetched up to $100 million setting records in markets.
LT. General Russel L. Honoré, US Army (Ret), brings world class leadership, a deep knowledge of global affairs, logistics and enterprise risk management to Zoetic’s operations. General Honoré has been widely hailed by the media as the “Category 5 General” who led Task Force Katrina in the aftermath of the devastating hurricanes that struck the Gulf Coast in the summer of 2005. General Honoré also has a degree in Agriculture and is currently a Senior Scientist with The Gallup Organization where he is working on developing questions to determine levels of preparedness, and a CNN Preparedness Contributor. After more than 37 years of in the U.S. Army, where he commanded the First Army and oversaw as many as 72,000, the General has dedicated himself to a new mission in creating a “Culture of Preparedness’’ in America and focusing on global issues of water and food security.
Michael has over 25 years of experience in the areas of business development, sales & marketing and client account management. He initially focused his efforts in the telecommunications sector. During his early career he designed, negotiated and implemented data and voice network solutions with targeted, high profile organizations. He then joined a top 10 nationwide executive search firm, managing the technology desk, concentrating on executive level positions. There he performed full life cycle executive recruiting and learned the true value of human capital.
More recently he was engaged as a manager of solutions development in the contract communications field. He focused on enterprise markets, targeting global Fortune 500 organizations. He navigated and negotiated multi-million-dollar agreements, while establishing and supervising vendor relations.
Throughout his years involved in corporate engagement, Michael always kept his entrepreneurial spirit alive with projects focusing on energy and emerging technologies. Most recently he has been focusing his interest on the vast potential of blockchain, learning to understand how the disruptive technology will impact and reshape our world.
Michael graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Communications.
Kevin is currently Vice President, Portfolio Management and Strategy for Zoetic Global. He has occupied this position since September 2018. Mr. Kolb served as an Advisor to the CEO since January 2018.
In his current role, Mr. Kolb is responsible for overseeing the management of Zoetic’s equity portfolio in companies dedicated to the renewable energy generation, energy efficiency, digital and cyber solutions, and healthcare markets. Mr. Kolb helps to properly structure partnership and sale contracts, gages market conditions and properly positions each of Zoetic’s equity holdings in the marketplace to ensures shareholder satisfaction.
In his previous roles, Mr. Kolb helped start a number of companies in the biotech space, ranging from modular clean room manufacturing to tissue procurement and cryopreservation services. Mr. Kolb has helped facilitate several multi-million-dollar capital raises and has generated millions of dollars in revenue contracts every year. Kevin has advised and provided guidance to several other companies translating to everyday investors over time seeing an average of 10x returns over 4 years.
Kevin is a graduate of Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana with a degree in Business Management. While enrolled, Kevin was a two-time Student Body President and served as a representative to the Board of Trustees of the university. He also served on a number of university committees as the school grew by leaps while opening a College of Medicine, the second medical school in the State of Indiana. Kevin currently advises the university as a Board Member of the Marian University Alumni Association.
David West joined Zoetic as an ambassador and brand developer for strategic outreach and brand development. West shares the vision of Zoetic by recognizing the immediate need for clean energy, and is dedicated to promoting clean technology solutions, particularly for the developing areas of the world. Under the Obama Administration, West was appointed as an Ambassador for the Minorities in Energy Initiative, a group of senior-level leaders committed to lending their voice to the mission of Minorities in Energy through outreach and strategic planning.
West, a two time NBA All Star with a career spanning 13 years is currently a member of the Golden State Warriors. His time as a professional athlete has enabled him to be a leader on issues such as youth development and sustainable resource development. West is the principal and head of the West Group, an organization that facilitates the development of youth in sports and individually tailored mentorship. Under the direction of the West Group, David operates a nationally recognized basketball development program for youth that carries the mantra “No Books, No Ball.” Through David’s philanthropic service in the greater Raleigh/Durham North Carolina area, over 7,000 individuals have been serviced with more than 400 youth receiving collegiate scholarships.
A former basketball great at Xavier University, West was a 2002-03 Associated Press, United States Basketball Writers Association and Basketball Times National Player of the Year.
Duni Hebron is a distinguished corporate executive and business owner, with extensive executive leadership experience within the services, human resources, marketing, business development and management, strategic planning and real estate industries.
Ms. Hebron currently serves as a partner and co-founder of Strategic Turn Around Team (STAT), a turnaround healthcare company, which manages health facilities in the areas of finance and administration, marketing, business development, compliance regulation and governmental relations. In addition, she is the founder, president and CEO of The Emerald Group, Inc., a management consulting and business development firm, and co-owner and president of The Bolagé Group, LLC., a marketing and public relations firm. In 2013, Hebron partnered to form Al Hadir, LLC, an international firm that works with foreign countries on securing U.S. funding for various in-country projects. The company has worked on developing major agricultural projects in the Republic of Nigeria.
Ms. Hebron is also very involved in the local Houston community, serving on numerous boards, including: Unity Church of Christianity, UNICEF, The Ensemble Theater, The Julia C. Hester House, Sisters of Sierra Leone and Saving Lives Through Alternate Options.
Ms. Hebron has received several awards for her achievements and community involvement, including “Business Woman of the Year” award from the Houston League of Business and Professional Women.
Jeremy Symons is a recognized leader on the environment, clean energy, energy efficiency and protecting human health. He joined Zoetic Global to deploy his 25 years of experience building a better future for others, especially for those most vulnerable to the worst effects of global climate change.
Jeremy has served in the executive ranks of two of the world’s largest environmental organizations: Environmental Defense Fund and National Wildlife Federation. He is based in Washington DC and has worked at the United States Senate and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as well as serving on the White House’s Energy Task Force.
Jeremy is a sought-after commentator and public voice on environmental and energy issues. He has testified before Congress and has appeared multiple times on news networks around the world, including CNN, Al Jazeera, BBC, Fox News, NBC, ABC, NPR and CBS. He is a published writer in the Washington Post, Politico, The Hill, Huffington Post, and other media outlets.
Jeremy has been recognized as “The top political strategist for the influential conservationist lobby” by the independent congressional news journal The Hill. Eric Pooley’s refers to Mr. Symons in his book, The Climate Warsas “One of the smartest strategists in the Green Group.” And former Senator Barbara Boxer called Jeremy “One of the most effective and innovative conservation advocates in the nation.”
