Togbe Afede XIV
Togbe Afede XIV is Director of Zoetic’s energy operations in Ghana. He plays dual roles of a traditional ruler as Paramount Chief of the Asogli State in the Volta Region and president of the Volta Region House of Chiefs, and that of a successful entrepreneur and investment banker. In addition, he currently sits on the Board of Directors for the World Trade Center Association, comprised of 322 members and 89 countries, as the Executive Chairman of World Trade Center, Accra. A visionary and skilled statesman, he is ranked among the 100 most influential people in the country and plays an influential role in Zoetic’s mission to bring electricity to Ghana.
Afede is a self-made success. Early in his schooling, he was accepted to the prestigious Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has since earned his MBA in 1989 after receiving a fellowship from the Yale School of Management. Since then, he has co-founded or created several companies, including Databank Financial Services Ltd.; Strategic African Securities Ltd., a stock brokerage firm; Strategic Initiatives Ltd., a private equity and portfolio investment firm; Sunon Asogli Power Ltd; and Africa World Airlines Ltd.
